The Sacramento County Bar Association (SCBA) has selected Russell J. Austin as its 2017 Distinguished Attorney of the Year. Each year, SCBA honors one “lawyer who most exemplifies the best qualities in the legal profession and who, through the practice of law, has made Sacramento a better place to live and work.”
Russell is a past recipient of American Bar Association’s Pro Bono Publico Award, California State Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award, SCBA’s Humanitarian of the Year Award, and the Metro Chamber’s Volunteer of the Year Award, among a long list of other accolades and honors.
“Given Russell’s years of dedication to the community through his Board service, pro bono work, and philanthropy, we are thrilled that he has been selected for this well-deserved honor,” said Managing Partner, J. Scott Alexander.
