After six years of running her own firm dedicated to serving the needs of healthcare providers, Deborah made the important decision to join Murphy Austin, where she is uniquely qualified to represent clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, individual providers, DME providers, and clinical laboratories on a wide array of day-to-day regulatory compliance and reimbursement matters.
Deborah brings over 18 years of experience in Medicaid, Medicare, facility licensure, scope of practice, and provider-side billing/reimbursement issues to Murphy Austin’s healthcare practice. Often serving as “outside in-house counsel,” Deborah advises healthcare providers, including, but not limited to, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, individual providers, DME providers, and clinical laboratories on a wide array of day-to-day regulatory compliance and reimbursement matters.
Deborah is joined by her longtime Associate Attorney Lauren Barker, whose practice focuses on advising community health clinics on regulatory and business matters.
Lauren counsels clients on matters related to telehealth, patient privacy, audits and reconciliation appeals, overpayment investigations, mergers, acquisitions, and dissolution as well as employment issues including workplace investigations, employment agreements, policy development, and employee training.
