New COVID-19 Isolation and Quarantine Rules from Cal/OSHA

Cal/OSHA has announced new COVID-19 isolation and quarantine rules, updating the regulation that went into effect on January 14, 2022.

These new rules reflect changes in the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) isolation and quarantine period guidance. Pursuant to Executive Order N-84-20, when the quarantine or isolation periods in the operative Cal/OSHA COVID-19 regulation exceed current CDPH periods of recommended isolation and quarantine, the CDPH time periods will control.

See the Cal/OSHA Fact Sheet for a helpful chart with the current guidance. Be sure to update your COVID-19 Prevention Plan and applicable procedures and notices to reflect the new rules.
