Social Distancing Protocols Now Required For Some

 
Social Distancing Protocol 
The Social Distancing Protocol needs to address several items, including, but not limited to, limiting the number of people who enter a business to ensure social distancing is maintained, providing hand sanitizer, soap and water or effective disinfectant at or near the business entrance, and posting a sign at the business entrance informing all employees and customers that they should: avoid entering the facility if they have a cough or fever, maintain a minimum six-foot distance from one another, sneeze and cough into one’s elbow, and not shake hands or engage in any unnecessary physical contact.
A copy of the Social Distancing Protocol must be provided to each employee performing work at the facility. All Essential Businesses must also be able to provide evidence that the Social Distancing Protocol has been implemented to any authority enforcing this Order upon demand.
Even businesses outside of Sacramento County might want to consider developing a Social Distancing Protocol, as it may be helpful in satisfying an employer’s obligation to provide a safe working environment, as required by Cal/OSHA.
